Sting of Death

I have to say that it has been a crazy year on SO many levels. One of the things that has become an unwelcomed common place in my life has been the amount of deaths I've been around this year. Often times in my sessions with Ankh Ra, we recall what's been going on in my life-my progression with my voice, my health, and my spirit. In this past Saturday's session, we reflected on the very fact that I'm always going to a funeral.

I really appreciate Ankh Ra because he's so in-tuned with the deepness of spirituality. He brought up something that I've never thought of ever in my life. He asked me, "you think God is trying to tell you something by having all of this death surround you?" I shrug my shoulders because I have no clue where he goes with some of his deep stuff. He replies, "could it be that all of this death means that there might be something within you that needs to die?"

That was deep.... Now I don't know if that is true or not, but all I know is that it caused me to reflect on my life and the things in it that may not be kosher. One of my favorite quotes is by J.R.R Tolkien (author of Lord of the Rings) and it simply says that "Things Are Meant." Could this be one of the ancillary reasons for death being around me?

Things that make you go hmmmm...
