An incredible God deserves incredible praise!! That really didnt really have anything to do with anything. I just felt it on my heart :-). So thank you for entertaining my digression.
The next song I'm writing about is my song entitled "I Love You." This song was actually one of the hardest songs on my album to write. I wanted something VERY simple. Something that would tell the story of how I was feeling, without being too flashy. My girl Nina Vishwanath actually randomly sent me this raw beat that she made. It was a short clip, but it was enough to inspire me to create I Love You.
I chose this song as a simple form of adoration to God. I had spent so much time singing love songs to the ladies (once i discovered that I could hold a note). I figured the least I could do was write a love song to the Father.
Confession alert!! John P. Kee played a significant role in one of the parts in I Love You. At the end, I sing the line "You were a friend...above all others...you stick closer than closer." That was definitely 'leveraged' from Pastor Kee's song "He Wont Leave You Alone." That line was just too true for me to overlook. One of the reasons I love God is because He's always better to me than i could be to myself.
My testimony is simple. My song is to the point: I just came to say I love YOU (God)!!
Regards,
MD
